The flights back home were long! We met an eight year old girl from New Zealand that wanted to play with Ella the entire way back (nice at first, annoying after 5 hours). In addition, we never realized a little eight years olds feet could smell so wretched! We pretended we were sleeping on our final connecting flight so we would be left in peace and we heard an overhead page by the flight attendant asking for Ella's parent to press the call light and I.D themselves b/c another little girl wanted to play with her! When we flew into Salt Lake City the scenery of the snow capped moutains was breathtaking.

Rottnest Island

Bry & I went to Rottnest island on New Years day. Located 19 km off the coast of Perth, its home to the Quoka (a large rodent animal only found here) and no motorized vechiles (you bike around everywhere). Click on the collage for a closer look.

For New Years we headed to the Oyster Bar in Fremantle to catch up with some of my old high school friends. Happy new years!

Busselton Jetty - The longest wooden Jetty in the Southern Hemisphere

We visited Busselton Jetty in Western Australia. It is the longest wooden jetty in the southern hemisphere. It is 1.3 miles long!

Trip Down South, Western Australia

We went 'down south' to Dunsburough in W.A, a famous surfing location. The beaches and terrain are rugged and the surf great. We had a ball with Uncle Mick (pictured surfing here).

Giant Tree Top Walk

We drove to Walpole, Western Australia (6.5 hours south of Perth) and completed the walk with the giant trees. A suspension bridge gradually takes you up into the trees so that you get a birds eye view. This was spectacular and one of the highlights of our trip.

Climbing The Gloscester Tree

The Gloscester tree is located in Pemberton, W.A (about 4.5 hours south of Perth). This is the the tallest fire lookout tree in the world. Historically, they would use trigonometry measurements from this tree and other nearby lookout point to locate where a fire was burning. The tree had a series of metal pegs that you climbed to reach the top, not for the faint hearted!

Merry Christmas

I had a great xmas with Nana and Grandpa. They got all dresses up and danced around with me. Here we are in action.

Fish 'n' Chips: Aussie Style

Tonight we went to Hillary's Boat Marina and ate Fish and Chips. Daddy had never eaten them wrapped up in paper before (mommy says this is how she's always had it). It sure tasted great! Mommy was excited to buy a Passiona drink too. It's a soda that you can only get in Australia, see:

Ngili Cave

We visited Ngili Cave in Yallingyup with Mick, Paul, Danielle and Trisha. on the way down we got to meet an Emu. Check out the Stalagtites and Stalagmites!
